When AutoLean first launched, we went after the opportunity of connecting manufacturers to mobile applications. This vision was to allow anyone in any size business to make better decisions real-time. By increasing mobility on the floor we could enable improvements in productivity, profitability, and safety at all levels in the organization. This principle has led us to selling hundreds of thousands of apps on the App Store, and partnering with multiple Fortune 100 & 500 clients. It has been an exciting journey for us, and we are even more excited to be working on the next chapter of our company story. In the next couple weeks, AutoLean will be releasing a suite of Bluetooth low-energy devices that will improve the experience of our existing app users, as well as enable our enterprise clients to be more aware and connected to the manufacturing processes around them. Our new line will enable proximity & location awareness in nearly all manufacturing environments.

This week we are updating our iOS Apps to enable push notification capability. You will find this enhancement in Version 2.3 of our products.
Push notifications will allow us to better connect with our customers, and provide real-time connectivity between users in the same organization… more on this to come later!

Today’s blog post will feature a company called Strength of Nature Global LLC based out of Savannah, Georgia. Strength of Nature “is the choice manufacturer of innovative hair care solutions that specifically address the critical hair care needs, styling, and desires for Consumers of Color.” The company has created 11 different brands to specifically target individual needs. They also have outreach programs that benefit civic centers, churchs, salons, and hair schools.
William Kersh is a Production Supervisor and Mechanic working in the Kitting Department for Strength of Nature. He uses AutoLean’s OEE Monitor app exclusively to track the efficiency of his machines. He discovered the app while searching the App Store. William is currently compiling a month’s worth of data and then plans to use that information to make changes as needed. His reports are already showing positive improvements.

The recent Quick OEE iOS update now includes a more intuitive interface to help users understand each component of a good Overall Equipment Effectiveness calculation. Available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices.
Quick OEE is a simple universal app used to calculate OEE as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is compatible for any type of production cell or asset. Useful for kaizens, and asset management projects. Quick OEE also allows emailing OEE data out from the app to colleagues and co-workers.
